Rich’s love for Wire Fox Terriers began in the late 1990s, when he first fell for their boundless energy, quirky charm, playful spirits, inquisitive nature, and remarkable intelligence. After taking a pause from breeding in 2011, he and Darlene soon realized just how deeply they missed having these spirited dogs in their lives. By 2016, it was clear: welcoming Wire Fox Terriers back into their home was not only joyful—it was fulfilling in every way.

Inspired by that passion, Linwood Wires was founded in 2018 with a dedication to seeking out the highest-quality dogs to build a thoughtful and ethical breeding program. Knowing how deeply early experiences shape a puppy’s confidence and wellbeing, Rich and Darlene intentionally chose to raise every dog inside their home, where they live as cherished members of the family.
